Alyssa Campanelli

Olin D. Johnston Memorial Carolina Scholar
Riverside High School
Greer, South Carolina
Baccalaureus Artium et Scientiae with Pre-Med Studies

My time at Carolina has given me lifelong friends, memories, and the opportunity to change both my community and the world, and for that I am forever grateful to thee!

Impactful experience:

Enjoy most as a TS:

Story:
USC and the Top Scholars Program have given me so many opportunities to develop my career interests and passion for service. I am thankful to have been able to pursue opportunities to study and volunteer abroad, conduct research on Fragile X Syndrome, help out my community at the Good Samaritan Clinic, and even get a jumpstart on my career through the BARSC-MD program. Most importantly, I have been able to connect with amazing friends who have shaped my college experience by constantly inspiring me to grow. They have helped make my time at USC so enjoyable, and I could not imagine what college (and life) would be like without them!

Post-graduate plans:
Alyssa will complete a summer clerkship in the Prisma Health Department of Pediatrics and afterward will continue her studies at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

Career goals/professional aspirations:
I hope to one day serve my community by working as a pediatrician so that I can help kids have the healthiest start to life possible!
