Coming to UofSC, I knew I had a great community waiting for me among the Top Scholars. I decided to participate in the PACES camp led by the Office of Pre-Professional Advising before freshman year to learn more about opportunities at UofSC for pre-medical students. I was nervous to arrive alone and have my first real college experience, but all those nerves disappeared when I recognized three familiar faces from the scholar weekend! Grace Cooney, Madhura Pande, Alexandra Tamura and I got to know each other really well over the course of the week and have been best friends ever since. The scholar community brought me my best friends before school even started. 

Future plans: Will is a member of the Class of 2024 at the Medical University of South Carolina where he will earn an M.D.
