I have had many life-changing experiences throughout my time at the University of South Carolina. I've had the chance to travel the world, learned about innovation and creativity in Scotland, health care in Amsterdam, performed research in Germany and helped run a free clinic in Lima, Peru. Another experience that greatly changed my perspective and outlook on the future was my presidency of the university's College Democrats chapter. In this role, I had the opportunity to meet with candidates for president and other political figures, all of whom helped show me what it means to be a good leader. I have loved the four years I've spent at this university; they have truly been some of the best of my life. 

Future plans: Jane will attend medical school in the fall at Duke University.
