Standing before Soren Kierkegaard’s grave in Copenhagen, I couldn’t help but think of the philosopher’s famous quote, “Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.” My four years as a Gamecock have been colored by a patchwork of experiences that at times I’ve struggled to understand — discovering a love for philosophy and adding it as a major, working across disparate industries, living and interning on three continents, all while making and losing friends along the way. Yet, with the privilege of hindsight, I’ve come to see how each step of my meandering trek has formed a part of me that I wouldn't change today. I understand the path here for what it was: living forward. 

Future plans: After graduation, Cameron will begin his career as a management consultant at Bain & Company in Atlanta.
