Dissemination
Dr. Creed has presented at numerous Sigma Theta Tau conferences, conventions, and chapter program meetings. She has presented and led workshops on grieving, childhood cancer, and community health.
Professional Service
Dr. Creed is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, Alpha Xi chapter and has served on numerous committees at the local, regional, & international levels. She has also been a board member in various capacities at the chapter level, including President. Locally, she has served on the board of Children’s Chance and currently serves on the board of CAMP KEMO. Internationally, she serves on the Medical Advisory Committee of Orbis International. Other professional affiliations include membership in the American Nurses Association, Association of Certified Case Managers, South Carolina Faith Community Nurses Association, and South Carolina Nursing Education Simulation Alliance.
Professional Practice
Dr. Creed has a varied background in her nursing practice: staff nurse, nurse educator, camp nurse, nurse administrator, clinical instructor, clinical nurse specialist, school re-entry coordinator, and care coordinator. Prior to coming to the University, she practiced for over 16 years in community health, primarily with the low income, uninsured patient population.
