Enhancing access for all students to gain international experience, the College of HRSM provides travel scholarships every year.
Both undergraduate and graduate students have the opportunity to work on international research and to learn from professors who have lived and worked around the world. The college also offers courses and degrees that specialize in international business.
For International Students and Schools
The College of HRSM has a growing and inclusive international student community with more than 150 international students currently enrolled. With partner universities on five continents, the college provides a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional development programs designed for international students.
Dual Degree Programs
Dual degree programs are designed to create custom education experiences that combine the experiential learning and academic excellence HRSM is known for with the unique academic strengths and goals of international partner institutions. Based on academic degree articulations, the college can design a variety of degree programs built on faculty expertise in both the home and host institutions.
For example, a 120 credit-hour, 1+3 B.S. degree program would entail 90 University of South Carolina (UofSC) semester credit hours (three years at UofSC) plus 30 host partner institution credit hours (one year). A 2+2 B.S. degree program (60 UofSC credits and 60 credits at the host partner institution) is possible through an MOU (memorandum of understanding) followed by an articulation agreement. HRSM currently has dual degree programs with universities in China and Taiwan.
International Student Internship Program
The College of HRSM has developed an International Student Internship Program to provide international students with pathways to gain academic enrichment and career experience in the United States. Registration for this new program will begin in the fall of 2020.
