Research and Teaching Interests

Alexandra works in a lab that studies how normal variation in the FMR1 gene relates to mother and family experiences, including transitions out of high school. In particular, she is involved with recruitment and working with the mothers. In the future, she is interested in going to graduate school to study adult transitions in individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder and fragile x syndrome.
