Research and Teaching Interests

Danielle's research interests include lexical and syntactic processing, language acquisition, bilingualism, & aphasia. Her current work focuses on understanding the neurobiology of syntactic processing in aphasia by speakers of other languages (non-Englishes) and bilingual speakers. Previous work has focused on how degree of lexical overlap (syntactic, phonological & orthographic) modifies the cognate facilitation effect.
