Emelia Arthur Beam is the PGY2 Community Resident at Premise Health-Wiggins Family Medical Center and Pharmacy in Carrollton, GA. Emelia is from Ghana, West Africa. She earned her Pharm.D. from Samford McWhorter School of Pharmacy. Emelia is passionate about underserved populations, immunization, infectious and chronic disease management. She enjoys spending time with family, watching a good movie, and trying new food.
Sherlie J. Llorens is the PGY2 Community Resident at Premise Health-Associate Family Health Center in Greer, South Carolina. Sherlie is from Puerto Rico where she grew up and attended the University of Puerto Rico for her bachelor’s degree in Biology. She then attended the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy completing her Pharm.D. degree in May of 2020. She has a passion for patient care and being involved in different pharmacy organizations. She also enjoys traveling and being outdoors which include biking, hiking, and camping whenever she can.
Ryan A. Norton is the PGY1 Community Resident at Premise Health-Associate Family Health Center in Greer, South Carolina. Ryan was born and raised in Houston, Texas, but later moved to New Orleans, Louisiana for his undergraduate studies. Ryan received his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Pharm.D. from Xavier University of Louisiana. During pharmacy school, he was deeply involved in pharmacy leadership and community service. Ryan is passionate about improving patient outcomes for those with chronic disease states and serving underserved communities. He enjoys learning about new cultures through food, bike riding, and spending time with his loved ones.
Mackenzie Currie is the PGY1 Community Pharmacy Resident at Hawthorne Pharmacy. Mackenzie is from Lexington, SC and received her Pharm.D. from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. She enjoys true crime TV, running, biking, and spending time with friends. She is passionate about serving the underserved and working closely with geriatric patients and their families to ensure they are receiving the best possible care, and she is excited about bringing this passion to Hawthorne.
Caleb Melton is the PGY1 community Resident at Medicine Mart - West Columbia. Caleb grew up in Asheville, North Carolina and in his last few years of high school moved to South Carolina and graduated from Gilbert High school. He then went on to graduate from the great University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy, while also doing his undergraduate studies there. He has a passion for community pharmacy as he loves working and helping patients on a daily basis, as well as being able to continue these relationships throughout his future career. His hobbies include gaming, playing with his dogs and spending time with loved ones.
