Dr. Christina Cox, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCPPS, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences at the USC College of Pharmacy. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of South Carolina in 2006.
Dr. Cox completed her PGY1 pharmacy practice residency and PGY2 specialty training in pediatrics at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee. Following residency, Dr. Cox worked as a pediatric clinical pharmacy specialist at Prisma Health Children's hospital before joining the College of Pharmacy's faculty in May 2010.
Since her arrival at USC, Dr. Cox has worked to increase student exposure to pediatrics throughout the curriculum, including starting a pediatric elective course and offering students an opportunity to work on clinical research. Dr. Cox continues to be an advocate for pediatric pharmacy as an active member of the Pediatric Pharmacy Advocacy Group, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, American Society of Health-System Pharmacy and South Carolina Society of Health-System Pharmacy. Her love of teaching and education also earned her the 2010 Preceptor of the Year award for the College of Pharmacy.
Outside of pharmacy, Dr. Cox enjoys Gamecock sports, cooking, music, traveling and anything Hemingway.
