B.S./MACC Accelerated Program for UofSC Students
The Moore School offers an Accelerated program option for current UofSC-Columbia students, which allows them to complete their undergraduate accounting degree and MACC degrees in four years. Visit the Accelerated program page to view program requirements and application information.

We will not review your application until all of your required application documents have been received. Applications missing documents after a deadline has passed will be carried forward to the next deadline.

UofSC-Columbia students participating in the Accelerated program earn graduate credit for courses taken as an undergraduate student. Accelerated deadlines relate to when you are taking courses you would like to “double count” for graduate credit.
Accelerated Classes Start
Please remember that the term included on your MACC application should be after you complete your undergraduate degree, even though you are applying to take graduate courses in an earlier semester

Each applicant is evaluated individually and assessed on their potential to excel in the MACC program. Defined admission requirements for undergraduate performance and GMAT will vary from applicant to applicant. However, all applicants must have a minimum 3.00 upper-level accounting/major GPA with no more than two Cs in these courses.
Undergraduate Accounting / Business Degree Not Required
Applicants are not required to have an undergraduate degree in accounting or business for admission to the MACC program, however, students without these degrees must complete required prerequisite courses prior to entering the program or in addition to their MACC courses. Students without an accounting background who wish to complete the MACC program in 18 months or less can work with the program director to create a custom schedule. Your application is not considered complete and will not be reviewed for an admission decision until all maerials have been received.
Qualified students will receive an invitation to schedule an interview after our review of your other required application components.
We offer two options for interviewing: 1) an on-campus interview, or 2) a video interview.
Send your official GMAT scores using our institutional code: JV2-TP-28. Scores must be from within the past five years to be considered valid.

Fill out the online application.
Included in your online application, the statement of purpose is your chance to tell us what you want to do with your MACC degree and why you want to attend our program.
International applicants not graduating from a U.S. institution, or who have not spent at least 3 years studying in the United States, must submit official TOEFL or IELTS test scores to demonstrate their command of the English language. Scores must be from within the past two years to be considered valid. Our institutional code for TOEFL is 5818. For IELTS, please make sure you select the University of South Carolina as a score recipient when taking the test.
You can attach unofficial transcripts to your online application for the review process. Transcripts are required from every institution attended for course credit, even if a degree was not awarded. Official transcripts are required for enrollment and must be sent before the end of your first term to continue in the program. Documentation includes grade sheets, a statement of degree(s) awarded and the date each degree was conferred. International universities often have separate grade sheets and certificates showing proof of degree.

Note: the digital transcript service SPEEDE only sends documents to Undergraduate Admissions. Once you receive confirmation that your SPEEDE transcript has been downloaded, please forward the notification to firstname.lastname@example.org so we can request your transcript to be sent to us.
Transcripts from non-US schools need to be converted to the US 4.0 scale using a member of the NACES. Study abroad classes taken at a non-US school included on your US school transcript do not need to be converted.
Within the online application, you will provide the email addresses for two contacts that you want to provide you a recommendation. These can either be academic or professional, however, we prefer at least one recommendation from an accounting (or other major) professor. Your recommenders will receive an online form to complete to the email address you provide for them.
