The MACC Accelerated program allows high-achieving UofSC-Columbia students to complete their undergraduate accounting and MACC degrees in as few as four years.
The Accelerated option is available to undergraduate accounting majors and other majors completing the accounting cognate. It allows you to “double count” up to four classes for undergraduate and graduate credit. "Double counting" these classes allows you to:
To participate in Accelerated and “double count” courses, you must be admitted to the MACC program, confirm your enrollment, and submit the required Accelerated forms each semester you wish to “double count” at least one course.
Students must be admitted to the MACC program to participate in Accelerated. The following guidance pertains to additional Accelerated eligibility requirements, including the GMAT waiver.

The following steps will help determine how Accelerated will work with your undergraduate program of study.
You must be admitted to the MACC program before you can “double count” courses as Accelerated courses. Follow these steps to participate in the Accelerated program:
Applying to the Accelerated program is the same as applying to the MACC program. You can apply for the GMAT Waiver and follow the MACC admission requirements.
You are an undergraduate student until you complete your undergraduate degree. Please make sure that your MACC application term is after the completion of your undergraduate degree (even though you will be completing MACC courses before this term via Accelerated).
Your Accelerated application deadline relates to the term in which you are taking courses to “double count.” You may apply at any time you meet the eligibility requirements, but the following are the final deadlines based on when you are taking Accelerated courses:

You are an undergraduate student until you complete your undergraduate degree. Please make sure that your MACC application term is after the completion of your undergraduate degree (even though you will be completing MACC courses before this term via Accelerated).
You must confirm your enrollment in the MACC program before you can "double count" classes. Confirmation includes paying the board-mandated seat deposit. The non-refundable deposit is applied toward your first semester tuition as a full-time MACC student.
Once your enrollment is confirmed, you will receive additional guidance on selecting Accelerated courses, submitting required Accelerated forms, and the academic requirements for “double counting” courses for undergraduate and graduate credit.
