Feng Yeo

Background

Feng Yeo is an assistant professor of accounting at the Darla Moore School of Business. He graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree with first class honors and a Ph.D. in Accounting from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore, where he also taught financial and managerial accounting. While at NTU, Yeo was Nanyang President's Graduate Scholar and won two awards for outstanding teaching performance. At USC, Yeo teaches the advanced Financial Accounting course (ACCT 501) to seniors and Master of Accountancy students.

Research

Yeo's academic research uses the experimental method to examine the effects of accounting regulations and regime differences on investors, managers and auditors. His current projects study the effects of disclosures beyond the traditional financial statements, such as how qualitative, corporate social responsibility, risk or audit disclosures affect the behavior of various parties in an accounting context. Yeo has a keen interest in psychology and frequently incorporates psychological theories into his research.

His research interests include the effects of accounting regulations and regime differences on investors, managers and auditors.
