Background
Dr. Frank Aguirre is a Fellowship Trained Gynecologist surgeon specializing in treating pelvic pain and abnormal menstrual bleeding. He completed his American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) sponsored Minimally Invasive Gynecology Fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and his residency training in Ob/Gyn at Johns Hopkins. He has significant experience diagnosing and treating problems related to such gynecologic conditions as uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, endometriosis, pain with intercourse, uterine polyps, adnexal masses, painful periods, and heavy or irregular menstrual periods. When surgical intervention is necessary, he has significant experience performing the surgeries in a minimally invasive manner with minimized pain and the most rapid recovery. He is well versed with laparoscopy both with and without the DaVinci robot. He is a former MIT trained engineer who places a high emphasis on the importance of using the most effective technology for the best outcomes. Dr. Aguirre's areas of research interest include improving minimally invasive surgery and optimizing medical management of the above conditions.
