This new program is being created with an impactful gift from Nicole and David Tepper, owners of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers and Charlotte’s Major League Soccer team. The Tepper Scholars Program seeks the best and brightest students with a passion for furthering their education, and ultimately their career, in the field of sport and entertainment management.
Selection for the Tepper Scholars Program is based on academic merit and commitment to sport and entertainment management with an emphasis on supporting underrepresented student populations.
How to Apply
Incoming University of South Carolina freshmen who are beginning school in fall 2022 and majoring in sport and entertainment management can now apply for the Tepper Scholars Program. Applications are due by March 15, 2022. Click here to apply.

The Nicole and David Tepper Scholars Program was established in 2020 thanks to an impactful gift from David and Nicole Tepper. David Tepper is the founder and president of Appaloosa Management, L.P. and owner of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers and Charlotte’s Major League Soccer team. The Teppers’ charitable efforts are focused on the core beliefs that everyone deserves an education and access to health care resources, and that no one should go to bed hungry.
