Research

Dr. Lucy Santos Green's research explores the role of the school librarian as an instructional designer and partner. It examines instructional partnerships between school library professionals and other educators; school librarians as pedagogical and technological leaders; and school librarians as designers of learning environments.

Teaching

Green seeks to implement pedagogical practices, design elements and learning environment characteristics that best support student learning and curiosity — regardless of the course setting. She integrates student work and assignments that are as immediately relevant and applicable to professional practice as possible. Green teaches Library Programming for Children and Young Adults, Children's Materials, and Introduction to the Management of Libraries, Media Centers, and Information Agencies.
