Performance is a major component of a dancer's education at the University of South Carolina, giving students and audiences alike opportunities to be inspired, enlightened and entertained.  Our performances are open to the public so join us for an upcoming show!

UofSC Dance Company Fall Concert

The UofSC Dance Company kicks off our brand new season with a concert featuring Associate Professor Jennifer Deckert’s reconstruction of the dazzling Marius Petipa ballet Paquita, plus original works by faculty members Eduard Forehand, André Megerdichian, and Olivia Waldrop.

Student Choreography Showcase

Under the direction of Professor Stephanie Milling, our student choreographers will present a program of cutting-edge original works which each has conceived, designed and directed.  This bi-annual showcase is a not-to-miss opportunity to see the innovative artistry of our talented young dance artists!

Don’t be late for this very important date, an evening-length re-imagining of Alice in Wonderland choreographed by Jennifer Deckert. Journey with Alice into the depths of her own psyche, where she must find inner strength to survive a strange and dangerous world that just gets “curiouser and curiouser.” Featuring a mix of dance genres and all your favorite characters, Wonderland will be an inspiring visual feast and an adventure you don’t want to miss!

UofSC Dance in Concert with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company

Experience the singular style and vision of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, who will perform alongside our student dancers for a once-in-a-lifetime, evening length event.  Members of the legendary dance-theatre company, now in its 40th Anniversary Season, will be on campus for a three-week creative residency, during which they will set a new work while teaching repertory from across their four decade history. A gala fundraiser will be held after the April 1 performance.
