Internships

We partner with departments across the College of Arts and Sciences and the Graduate with Leadership Distinction program to recruit interns and volunteers to assist with collection and exhibition maintenance. When you work with us, you'll get practical, professional training in a real museum setting.

We also provide support for the Geology department, serving as a laboratory for Geology 101 students who visit our permanent exhibit of natural history collections.

Alumni Spotlight

Caitlin Podas (M.A. in Public History and Museum Studies, 2012) came to USC knowing that she wanted to work with museum collections, and art in particular. As a graduate assistant at McKissick Museum she worked with all types of collections, which prepared her for her first job at the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum. She recently joined the staff of the prestigious Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California.
