Starting in April 2022, the Francophone Studies Program offers the DELF B1 and B2 examinations to UofSC students and the community at large.
The Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française is the official certification awarded by the French Ministry of Education to attest to the competency in the French language. Internationally recognized, the DELF is widely used in business and education.
The exam is composed of four parts assessing the traditional four skills: listening, reading, writing (tested collectively) and speaking (scheduled individually).
Dates and times for the 2023 sessions of collective exams are:
- DELF B1, Tuesday, April 11, 12:00-2:30 PM & Tuesday, December 12, noon-2:30 PM
- DELF B2, Wednesday, April 12-12:00-2:30 PM & Wednesday, December 13, noon-2:30 PM
The separate oral interview – roughly 1 hour, including preparation - will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time within ten days of the collective exams.
All exams will be administer on the UofSC-Columbia campus. They cannot currently be taken online.
Costs for 2023 exams:
- DELF B1: $155
- DELF B2: $190
