Adventure Trip Leader

 

What to Expect

Trip leaders plan and execute day-long outdoor adventure trips; responsibilities include conducting pre-trip meetings with participants to set expectations, build relationships, communicate risks, and provide training for participants. During the trip, leaders serve as guides and wilderness medical first responders.

This engagement qualifies for these special designations:

  • GLD-Professional & Civic Engagement
  • Option to appear on UofSC Experience extended transcript

Term: Fall 2021

 

Requirements

Time Commitment: 16 - 29 hours
Who Can Participate: Invitation - student is asked to participate (but is not required to do so)
Minimum Credit Hours: No requirements for credit hours or years completed
Minimum GPA:  No requirements for credit hours or years completed
Other Requirements Prior or current participation in related program or activity
