Student Bar Association
What to Expect
The Student Bar Association (SBA) is the student legislative body at the University of South Carolina School of Law and is comprised of an Executive Council (with four members) and a Legislative Council (with eight members from each class for a total of 24 representatives). SBA represents student interests and serves as the liaison between student body, administration, and faculty. It also provides many services for the student body including the Peer Mentor Program, social events, and intramural sports.
Associated Student Organization (ASO): student organizations to which the University has delegated certain limited authority to perform specific tasks aligned with the University's mission. These groups are required to maintain a University Advisor who is acting within the context of their university employment.
