This involves:
Taking a survey about your substance use.
Attending three sessions with a coach. The information you share during your sessions
is confidential as long as there is no threat of imminent harm to you or others.
All students are required to take AlcoholEdu, Sexual Assault Prevention, Mental Well-Being, and Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging
online modules before and during their first semester of classes. Graduate students
are exempt from Alcohol Edu.
You will need to complete these courses if you are:
a new undergraduate or graduate student.
a transfer student (including re-admit or returning student).
a change-of-campus student.
a Gamecock Gateway student.
an international student.
Both courses are completed in two parts; one at the beginning of the school year and
one a few weeks later. A hold will be placed on your account if you do not complete
requirements by the deadlines.
Alcohol and Drug Policies
The Coalition continues our Research Series this semester with national experts on
a wide variety of topics, including medication assisted treatment and recovery, well-being
and retention, and cannabis. Join us on the first Thursday of each month on Zoom and learn about our Coalition .
