Our Offices

The Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support is composed of more than 30 offices dedicated to facilitating access to qualified students and enhancing their success at UofSC and beyond.

Provides all Gamecocks with programs and services that promote fitness and quality of life, including adventure and outdoor recreation, aquatics, club sports, fitness and intramurals

Challenges high-achieving students in this living and learning community to reach their potential in the academic, service, leadership and social arenas.

Prepares students for lifelong career management by helping them discover careers, develop their employability skills and connect with employers.

Provides reports and raw data to the Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support focusing on undergraduate student enrollment. 


Educates and assists students and their families to secure the funding they need for college.

Provides support, guidance and mentorship for the 48 Greek organizations and their 6,500 members.

Offers students interested in healthcare careers a holistic perspective on health care practice and issues through a living and learning community

Provides an alternate path to enroll as a successful, full-time student at the University of South Carolina.

Enhances students' knowledge of environmental sustainability and teaches them to live, learn and lead "green" in this living and learning community.

Supports community and motivate students to devote their time to educationally purposeful activities in 24 residence halls.

Brings together American and international students in a living and learning community that encourages awareness and appreciation of each other's cultures.

Equips students to positively impact their communities through involvement in student organizations, leadership development, service and civic engagement.

Supports an inclusive campus environment by providing educational and social programs and supporting and advocating for historically underrepresented student populations.

Leads and serves as a clearinghouse for scholarship, policy and best practice for all postsecondary student transitions.

Welcomes new students and their families with programs that support their transition to and involvement in UofSC campus life.

Helps students transition to and thrive in off-campus residences and understand the rights and responsibilities of residing in Columbia.

Serves as the central resource for parents and families of Carolina students. Parent and Family Programs offers informative communications, including a monthly newsletter and award winning mobile-app, and coordinates the annual Family Weekend.

Assists students in applying to medical, law and health-related professional schools.

Supports students in a living and learning community that adheres to the idea that the sharing of space, food and ideas enriches the college experience.

Oversees student educational records, the academic calendar, course registration, enrollment verification, transfer credits and issuing diplomas. The Office of the Registrar also manages veterans services and citizenship and S.C. residency verification.

Gathers students from many different majors together in a high-achieving living and learning community to design creative solutions to interesting problems.

The center of student activity at UofSC and home to Gamecock Entertainment, your source for free, fun things to do on and off campus. Visit the Russell House to use meeting, lounge, activity, dining and retail space as well as campus Lost and Found.

Manages student ticket distribution for commencement and Gamecock football, basketball and baseball.

Upholds the student code of conduct by addressing and adjudicating students' alleged violations through a restorative and educational process.

Supports students with learning, physical, health or psychiatric disabilities in managing the varying demands of the university experience.

Serves as the central administration for Campus Recreation; Fraternity and Sorority Life; Interfaith Initiatives; Multicultural Student Affairs; Off-Campus Student Services; the Russell House University Union and its associated program, Gamecock Entertainment; the Leadership and Service Center; Parent and Family Programs; Student Athletics Ticketing; Student Government; and Student Media.

Provides opportunities for students to get hands-on experience in print, broadcast and online media; advertising sales; and graphic design through The Daily Gamecock newspaper, Garnet & Black magazine, SGTV and WUSC-FM.

Provides course-specific and general study skills assistance, as well as services for transfer and veteran students.

Helps students identify risky behaviors, hone decision-making skills and make safer choices regarding alcohol and drugs.

Promotes collaborations among students, faculty, staff and community members for exploring and implementing the changes required to create a sustainable campus and society.

Offers personal attention, guidance, programs and services for low-income and first-generation students to support their transition to and success in college.

Encourages students to engage in deep learning on focused topics in four academic seminars.

Recruits students to apply to and enroll at the University of South Carolina as undergraduates.
