Health Sciences Faculty: Join us for a half-day workshop on NIH proposal resubmission

The Office of the Vice President for Research will offer a three-hour workshop for faculty researchers who have submitted NIH proposals that were not funded and are considering resubmission. The workshop will be held on Thursday, January 27, from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

The Office of the Vice President for Research is seeking nominations for our three signature Breakthrough award programs: Breakthrough Leadership in Research, Breakthrough Stars and Breakthrough Graduate Scholars. All nominations for these programs are due by Friday, October 15, 2021.

Faculty Members: Apply today for a grant through the 2022 Racial Justice and Equity Research Fund

The Office of the Vice President for Research and the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are now accepting proposals for funding through the Racial Justice and Equity Research Fund. Proposals are due by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.

Graduate Students: Apply for a 2022 SPARC Graduate Research Grant

SPARC provides up to $5,000 to support graduate student research projects, and offers applicants experience to help them pursue national fellowship and grant awards throughout their academic careers. SPARC applications are due Wednesday, October 13, 2021, by 5:00 p.m.

New Propel Research Mentorship Program to open for nominations

Propel is a structured research mentorship program that provides early-career faculty with nine months of structured workshops, mentorship and editing support to help them develop a polished grant proposal for the National Institutes of Health or the National Science Foundation. Nominations for the inaugural 2021-2022 Propel class will be accepted beginning Tuesday, August 17, and complete nominations are due by Friday, August 27, 2021.
