minutes or 20 hours, it's a big step! Join us as we discuss how to make a smooth
transition to Carolina and share advice for incoming first-year students!

SPURS (Students Providing Undergraduate Residential Support) are often the first
contact for students and parents on their journey to calling Carolina home. In this
episode, we sat down with two SPURS, Ben Spells and Yasmine Hill, to answer common
housing questions and how working as a SPUR has impacted their college life.
The Resident Mentor (or RM) is an undergraduate or graduate student who serves as
an advisor, mentor, referral and positive role model to its residents. These Housings
staff members also build community within the residence halls and guide students through
their Carolina experience. This episode features three RMs who share their experience
and ways they have built community in their halls.
