Framed by the University of South Carolina mission and the Carolinian Creed, University Housing's vision, mission and goals frame the work of our teams in providing an enhanced collegiate housing experience for our students.
University Housing is committed to creating state-of-the-art facilities that are sustainable, safe, clean and well-maintained in order to enhance student learning beyond the classroom. Qualified and caring University Housing staff, in collaboration with students, will create quality student interactions that will inspire students to discover more about themselves and others, while reflecting on how to become inclusive and exemplary leaders, life-long learners and productive members of their community.

Located just a short drive from the coast of South Carolina, University Housing and it's team is committed to providing accommodations for students and staff during Hurricanes that affect our community and state. From caring for students that cannot leave campus for an alternative location to helping other partner universities along the coast, University Housing and the University of South Carolina are committed to providing a safe haven for students affected by Hurricanes.
University Housing from the very beginning, has been committed to providing a safe living and learning environment for students during COVID-19. In the ever changing environment we live-in, University Housing continues to monitor and provide clean, safe and physically distanced living arrangements for students attending South Carolina.
Advancing Sustainability
Through planning with sustainability in mind, University Housing provides sustainable living and working environments on the campus of the University of South Carolina and together we can help people make more positive impact together.
University Housing is a leader in building residence halls that are certified with sustainability in mind. Our commitment continues through the hard work of our Construction and Renovation teams as we plan and develop projects that protect the environment.
Our commitment to sustainability is more than just buildings, but the staff of University Housing live out this commitment everyday. The main housing offices of University Housing are certified as Green Office Spaces by the Office of Sustainability and our teams utilize eco-friendly products in cleaning every day.
University Housing is also committed to educating our residents of sustainability through our Green Quad Learning Community. Here students live green, learn green and look at ways to help other to provide a more sustainable Carolina.
