About this Fellowship
Provides funding for students interning over the summer in the U.S. Embassies in London or Paris, or the Secretary of State’s Office in Washington, D.C.
The award is offered to 3 undergraduate students who have applied for a summer professional position with the U.S. Department of State in Washington, DC, or the U.S. Embassies in London and Paris. Upon internship application submission in mid-October, the Department of State evaluates application and forwards the list of qualifying candidates to an advisory committee.
Students who receive a State Department internship are contacted in February by the Harriman Office to invite them to apply.
Students must also submit a recommendation from their college's Dean. NFSP is happy to help facilitate that process.
Offers a $5,000 stipend for travel and living expenses.
