Tenants

Overview

The Arnold School of Public Health Research Center is Innovista’s inaugural tenant. Collexis is a private software developer that has worked extensively with the University. Loccioni Group, an Italian firm specializing in precision measurement technology, represents Innovista's first international tenant. Gecko Energy Technologies is the first business in Innovista that will specialize in fuel cells.

These public-private partnerships are the cornerstone of Innovista and will be reflected in both of the research district’s first two developments, Horizon Center and Discovery Plaza.

Gecko energizes fuel cells with PowerSkin™
Gecko Energy Technologies becomes the first fuel cell-focused firm in Innovista, where it will commercialize its patented PowerSkin™ technology, a fuel cell "skin" that will replace both internal batteries and the plastic casings of many electronical devices.

University, private researchers across disciplines
Experts in one of the University’s core research areas, Future Fuels™ and alternative energies, will have a strong presence at Horizon I. Discovery Plaza will be the central location for biomedical research -- with University researchers in Discovery I and private researchers in Discovery II.

While the University has developed several key research strengths—environmental sciences, software and technology, nanotechnology, and health sciences in addition to biomedical and alternative energies such as hydrogen fuel cells—Innovista and its facilities will host researchers and businesses from a variety of disciplines and industries.
