Harrison Love

Center client joins program to become role model for youth in SC

A gifted artist, Harrison Love has won numerous awards throughout high school. He plans to apply his talents at Lander University this fall, where he will pursue a degree in art education through the Call Me MISTER program.

Master of Speech Pathology student Kristie Kannaley, who gained clinical experience at the Center, believes that speech-language pathologists can lead the way in changing perceptions about what can and should be done for dementia patients.

PreK Screening

Preschool Speech-Language-Hearing Screening Program marks 20 years

Offered to children ages 2-5 in Richland, Lexington and surrounding counties, this program works with preschools/childcare centers and families to identify and address communication and hearing impairments that may impede a child’s school and daily activities.

Over the past five years, the department has grown its literacy core by increasing to four core literacy and language faculty members. Center patients benefit from their presence as well.

We help individuals with the world’s second most prevalent health issue: hearingloss. Now they offer a 10 percent discount on hearing aids for USC employees.
