Simulation Rooms

Noelle Maternity Suite

The maternity suite is home to our birthing mannequin, Noelle and her baby, Hal.  Noelle can be programmed to deliver a baby naturally and by C-Section.  Baby Hal is used as a fully programmable newborn.  Both patient simulators are wireless and are operated by a faculty member from the control room.  The maternity suite is equiped with a monitor for the maternal vital signs and fetal monitor tracing and a monitor that refects the newborn baby vital signs.

Patient Simulators

Noelle

Noelle - Birthing Simulator

In addition to birthing a baby, Noelle has heart and lung sounds,
and can have a grand mal seizure. Noelle may be set up to demonstrate a realistic post partum hemorrhage.

This is an experience few students will experience in the clinical setting but can be readily offered in the lab.

Baby Hal

Baby Hal

Baby Hal functions much like the adult patient simulators.
He can have a seizure, move his arms, cry, and his cheeks glow blue if his oxygen level drops.
