Program Description
Students receive 29 weekly lessons (45 or 60 minutes), 6 repertoire classes, and 19 musicianship classes each year.* Students participate in formal performances including one recital per semester, SCMTA state auditions, and the Royal Conservatory Exams. All classes and events are included in the tuition cost, including RCM exams up to Level 8, making this a high-value lesson package. The private teacher may encourage additional performances and auditions (may be at additional cost).
Cost with 45-minute lessons: 2 payments of $609 or 6 payments of $203.
Cost with 60-minute lessons: 2 payments of $783 or 6 payments of $261.

Eligibility
Students need to be approaching Level 1 repertoire, and/or completing a method book (2, 2A/B, 3). A child may be ready for this program upon the third or fourth year of study. Students with prior study may transfer into the program, pending an interview to ensure correct placement. Enrollment is for the duration of the academic year, September through early May.
Student piano requirement: Acoustic piano
Practice requirement: 45–60 minutes a day, 5–6 days a week
A minimum of 6 lessons must be taken throughout the summer. Students are encouraged
to also enroll in Camp Creativity.
Enrollment and Weekly Schedules
All students will be assigned a numbered class, based upon age and playing level. See overview below. Classes will be enrolled on a first come, first serve, basis. Private lessons are scheduled in consultation with the private teacher.

Rotation
Musicianship & Repertoire classes occur on a rotation: musicianship will occur three times, followed by one week of repertoire class. In an academic year, students will receive 19 musicianship classes and 6 repertoire classes. An extra repertoire class is provided in late May for students who are enrolled in Royal Conservatory Exams.
