Biography

Nicole Skeen is a South Carolina educator and coach with a passion for growing teachers through teacher-focused mentoring and support in the clinical application of pedagogical theory and research. Skeen served as a middle school teacher, district instructional coach, district induction coordinator, professional development leader and adjunct instructor at USC before joining the College of Education faculty full-time in June 2017 as the college’s first University Induction Coordinator. She leads the development and implementation of the university’s Carolina Teacher Induction Program (CarolinaTIP). CarolinaTIP is a university-based induction program designed to facilitate the continued professional growth of new teachers by providing three additional years of support beyond their degree.
