Whether you're a high school student thinking about coming to the University of South Carolina, you're already a Gamecock looking to change majors or you're looking to enhance an established career, the College of Education can help you shape a future you can be excited about and proud of.

The College of Education houses the best education program in South Carolina and ranks as one of the top in the entire Southeast.

So, what is it that sets us apart?

Here, you are exposed to real-world classroom experience earlier than any other program in the state. As an early childhood education program student, for example, you will begin classroom observation hours during your very first semester. Elementary education students get in the classroom during the second semester. We believe that having these experiences early in your college career will help you validate your decision to become an educator. And by the time you graduate, you'll have a distinct advantage in having gained a wealth of experience working with both students and other teachers.

The application process and requirements can vary depending on your current status:

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
