If you intend to apply for the University of South Carolina Dance Program, your application process will begin through the university's Office of Undergraduate Admissions and include an audition for admission into the Dance Program.

Apply for Undergraduate Admission

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions manages online applications to the university and provides the most comprehensive information on the application process. The admissions office also provides the latest information on application deadlines and university scholarships for S.C. residents and nonresidents. So whether you are applying as a freshman, are looking to transfer to South Carolina or are planning to come to Columbia from another USC campus, you can check the requirements based on your current status and apply now.

 

Program Audition 

Open House Auditions and scholarship auditions are held twice a year, usually in November and February. Scheduled over the same weekend, auditions are designed to give prospective students the chance to experience the program firsthand and to interact with current students. Auditions are group format (no solos required) and there is no fee to audition. Auditions are not required for prospective dance minor students.

2018 Application Packet

The 2018 Application Packet [pdf] includes everything you need to audition and apply for our dance program. If you are planning to attend a UofSC Dance Program Audition Open House, you must return the Audition Response Form and a completed Application for Admission into the Dance Program at least three weeks prior to the audition date that you have chosen. The application packet includes the Audition Response Form, the application checklist, the program application and the scholarship application. Scholarships

Dance scholarships are available for those students who meet the six criteria for scholarship qualification. Students are expected to maintain a 2.5 grade point average to retain their awards.
