Innovista Web site wins UCDA Award of Excellence
The University of South Carolina's Innovista Web site has won its second major award in a month.
The site received an Award of Excellence in the 38th annual University & College Designers Association Design Competition. UCDA represents educational institutions from around the United States an Canada.
More than 100 electronic media entries were judged, and only 23 won awards, including just 13 Web sites--four Silver and nine Awards of Excellence. Entries were judged for appearance, flexibility, interactivity, and suitability for their intended audiences.
The show will be on display Oct. 4-7 at the UCDA Design Conference in Savannah, Ga.
In August, the Innovista site was one of only six "specialty" Web sites honored by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education's annual Circle of Excellence Awards. The site was a Silver Medal winner.
The University's Office of Marketing and Communications worked with the Office of Research on the Web site project. Truematter, a Columbia firm specializing in Web user experience, designed and built the site.
