Pre Health

There are over 160 allied health careers in the country, and most of us are only aware of a few. A career in health care can span from direct patient care like nursing, physician assistant, veterinarian, and physical therapy, to technology focused careers such as cardiovascular technicians and medical coding specialists.
There are also careers in public health, epidemiology, health education, prevention, and health care administration. OPPA helps students explore the many health-related fields through shadowing and volunteering. We also work with the USC Career Center to set up health-related internships. Students are encouraged to choose any major that interests them, using OPPA for assistance with pre-requisite courses for the different graduate schools and for application preparation.
